Baby Watch For Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes

Another celebrity couple is going to have a baby. And, the Paparazzi will be around them like cockroaches. Celebrity babies mean money to the Paparazzi. And, with Tom's stature, it could mean a lot of money. So, Tom and Katie will most definitely be under the watchful eye of the Paparazzi. And, Tom like other A-lister celebrity doesn’t like the microscope. Let's see what will happen.

Paparazzi Did Not Cause Lindsey's Accident

Police are ruling out the Paparazzi as the cause of Lindsey Lohan's car accident on LA's Robertson Blvd. They are also concluding that Lindsey was not speeding at the time of the accident. She was doing 35 mph which was the speed limit at the time of the crash.

Blame is being placed on the van's driver for making an illegal U-turn.

Lindsey Lohan Speeding According To Witnesses

According to witnesses on the scene, Lindsey Lohan was driving in excess of 50 to 60 mph on Robertson right before her car crashed into a van. The normal speed limit on Robertson is 35 mph.

Her publicist is stating that the Paparazzi were to blame for the accident. But, everyone knows that Robertson Blvd. is swarming with Paparazzi during the day. The famous Ivy restaurant where she ate, is on that street as is many fashionable and trendy boutiques. Celebrities go to Robertson and the Ivy to be seen and photographed. So, Lindsey knew there would be a lot Paparazzi around.

Granted, the LA Paparazzi are too many and out of control. But, in this case Lindsey could have avoided most of them by not going to Robertson. And, even if the Paparazzi started following her from Robertson, she should not have traveled at such a high rate of speed in an area that has so much pedestrian traffic on it.

Lindsey Lohan In Another Car Crash

Actress Lindsey Lohan 19 was involved in another car crash this afternoon after being photographed by a swarm of Paparazzi. The crash was bad enough to heavily damage her very expensive and very fast Mercedes SL 65.

Lindsey and a girlfriend were shopping on Robertson Blvd. in West Hollywood near the Paparazzi infested Ivy restaurant. Photographers spotted the actress and went after her to take her picture. She stayed on Robertson for quiet awhile, which gave more Paparazzi a chance to get to Robertson Blvd from other parts of LA.

By the time Lindsey decided to leave Robertson there were about 25 to 30 Paparazzi trying to get photos of the actress. Lindsey fled to her Mercedes and according to one photographer left at a very high rate of speed. There are unconfirmed reports that one or two Paparazzi vehicles were following her as she left Robertson. All of a sudden they heard a loud crash because Lindsey had hit a white van. Witnesses say that Lindsey then ran into a nearby Antiques store after the collision where she waited for police and tried to hide from the Paparazzi who were trying to take her photo.

Lindsey and her passenger were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the van was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

This is Lohan’s second car accident in less than a year. She had another accident in the same Mercedes while being chased by Paparazzi photographers.

Hey Guys. Paris Hilton Is No Longer Engaged!

The wedding is off. The romance has fizzled and Paris Hilton has had a change of heart. Paris and boyfriend Paris Latsis have decided it is better to be friends than to marry. The two vacationed in Europe all summer and when they got back they were constantly spotted around LA separately. Today, Paris admitted that the wedding is off.

This is going to be great for the Paparazzi and some lucky guy! Now, everyone is going to want to know when and who Paris is going out with. Breakups are always good for the Paparazzi.

New California Anti-Paparazzi Law

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a new anti-paparazzi law this Friday. The law AB-381 amends the existing anti-paparazzi law. It was introduced by Assemblywoman Cindy Montenez. The new amendment deals with an "assault committed with the intent ot capture any type of visual image, sound recording, or other physical impression of the plaintiff."

The law was amended to try to deter the Paparazzi from the potentially deadly habit of chasing celebrities at high speed around the Los Angeles area. There have been numerous incidents in the last few month concerning car chases and minor fender benders with some of the more popular celebrities and the Paparazzi.

This amendment will allow celebrities to win triple damages in case of a lawsuit and it will prevent the Paparazzi and their agencies from profiting from any of the photographs involved in the altercation.

Will this really affect the way Paparazzi chase their prey. Probably not. A number of the photographers are illegal residents in the US. They think that at worst they will get a hand slap by the authorities and then be deported back to their own countries. According to one European photographer, " It’s No Big Deal."

This blog has always commented that the chasing in Los Angeles is very dangerous and wrong. But, it seems to be a way of life in LA. If a Paparazzi photographer wants to get photos of the celebrity in LA he must chase, because the celebrities all run. And, since LA is so competitive with too many photographers, many will be willing to take the risk to make money.

The owners of the hard core Paparazzi agencies seem to feel that if they don't say anything to their photographers, because most are freelance, and if there ever was a problem the agencies will be blameless. But, as a photographer if you don't bring back the photograph and another agency photographer does, you will not get any money. And, there is a chance that if you constantly miss the photo, you will be without an agency. So, there is incentive to get the photographs of the celebrities at any cost for most of the Paparazzi photographers.

Many believe that the only way to solve the Paparazzi problem in LA is going to be a serious accident involving a celebrity, a Paparazzi or an innocent citizen who will be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is sad that nothing can be really done before some one will get hurt. It is too bad that the Paparazzi photographers and their agencies can’t self-police themselves. But, there is too much competition and too much money involved for them to stop now.

First Photos of Britney Spears And Her New Baby Might Not Be Published

The first photos of Britney Spears and her babies have been gotten. They have been photographed by 3 different Paparazzi agencies in Los Angeles. You might never see the photos because Britney doesn’t want them published.

The gossip is that her lawyers have apparently issued a court order not to publish photos taken of her and her new born baby shot by the Paparazzi in Malibu over the weekend. She was with her baby in her backyard when the photos were taken. It is a no-no in California to photograph celebrities in their backyard because they are presumed to have privacy there.

Britney lives in the Sierra Retreat estates in Malibu. The Paparazzi have found a spot on top of a hill in the gated community that overlooks her house and they have been secretly going up and waiting to take the million dollar photograph.

When word got out that there were photos taken of Britney and her baby, her lawyers went to court to bar publication.

The rumor circulating around is that the English magazine OK has paid $3 million dollars to be the first to publish the photo of Britney and her baby.

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher Marry

Demi Moore 41, and Ashton Kutcher 27, were married on Saturday. The two were married in front of 100 of their closest friends. Demi's former husband Bruce Willis attended. Her three daughters with Bruce Willis also attended. The wedding is believed to have taken place at her Beverly Hills home.

Not much more is known other then the wedding was a traditional Kabbalah ceremony.

The wedding took place at 10 p.m. and was supposedly a last minute affair presumably to keep the prying Paparazzi from getting anything.

Nicole Ritchie Was Everywhere This Weekend

Numerous Paparazzi sightings of Nicole Ritchie this weekend.

Saturday, she showed up at Kitson's, a store on Robertson Blvd. in West Hollywood. Every day Robertson Blvd. is swarming with Paparazzi. The famous Ivy restaurant is on the street along with lots and lots of hot shops for the young and rich. Paris shops there along with Lindsey Lohen and Mischa to name a few.

Celebrities know that the Paparazzi hang out there in large numbers and the celebs usually show up when they want to feel special. And, lots of Paparazzi pushing and shoving to take their picture causes a lot of commotion. Sometimes even the traffic stops to see who is around. It seems that sometimes a few celebrities get off on the attention.

Sunday, Nicole showed up to do some more shopping at the Fred Segal store on Melrose. There she came at an off hour and there were only a few Paparazzi to take her picture. But, Nicole smiled like a champ and seemed to have fun with all the attention.

The Paparazzi Know Their Legal Rights

Pam Anderson was at Coogie's restaurant in Malibu on Saturday. She likes to go there a lot for breakfast and dinner. Pam drives a white Range Rover and all the Paparazzi know her car. So, as the different photographers drove by they saw her Range Rover and decided to lay in wait and get some pictures of the star. After awhile there were 6 photographers waiting in the Malibu shopping center parking lot. A few on foot, some in their cars.

The local shopping center security guard gets wind that the Paparazzi are swarming around Pam's Range Rover. So she decides to thwart these bad boys. She start circling the parking lot near the photographers. Finally, the security vehicle's lights go on and the siren is sounded. She goes to one photographer, a German citizen and tells him she knows what he is doing and has to leave the parking lot if he is not shopping. He can't loiter. He reply's, "No! I won't leave." A little surprised by his response she tells him that he will be sited for tresspasing. But, he has an ace up his sleeve, he tells her that he has a postal box on shopping center grounds and she can't get rid of him. He is there to pick up his mail. The security guard responds that since he is not picking up his mail he is loitering. But, he claims he knows his rights and can pick up his mail anytime he wants. She can't rush him.

She goes to another photographer, and also states that he is tresspasing and he must leave if he is not shopping. He replies that he bought a milk shake at the local ice cream store so he is a paying customer and she can't touch him. The guard asks for the Paparazzo to show her the milkshake. He tells her, "I drank it and I am digesting it. If you don't leave me alone, it will take much longer for me to digest it and I won't be able to leave your shopping center, because I have a hard time digesting when I drive! And, I don't want to get into an accident."

Maybe, after contemplating the legal consequences about being responsible for a vehicle accident or she just decided she doesn't earn enough salary to deal with these guys. So, she finally gives up and drives away.

Another, day in the life of the Paparazzi.

Demi Moore Doesn't Want Pictures

Demi has a young famous guy, and a sort of renewed celebrity career and the Paparazzi love to take her picture.

But, the old Battleaxe doesn't like it. She ducks, and dives and now has assistants running and screaming and taking pictures of photographers. They jump in the photographers faces trying to scare them and prevent them from taking photos.

Seems Demi doesn't like the Paparazzi bothering her. She goes to a gym on Nemo Street near Santa Monica Blvd. a few times a week. She gets royally pissed when the Paparazzi are around. So, she will try sneaking out the back or running out of the gym behind big empty boxes her assistants carry. She will do anything not to have her photo taken.

Guess, she is showing her age without makeup and doesn't want anyone to see her or they might get scared.

Gwyneth Paltrow To Paparazzi - NO MORE!

Add Gwyneth Paltrow to the long list of pissed off celebrities.

She is telling the Paparazzi in New York that if they continue to constantly go after her to take photos she is going to do something about it. She is saying that she is going to start photographing the photographers, take down their vehicle information and go to the police!

That will scare the Paparazzi away. Yeah..right!

Paparazzo Nabbed For Assualt At Disney's California Adventure Theme Park

Celebrity Reese Witherspoon is still having problems with the pesky Paparazzi. Reese and her children visited Disney's California Adventure theme park on Friday with a unwelcome Paparazzo in tow.

Todd Wallace, 44 of Beverly Hills was cited for misdemeanor assault and battery on two park employees who were trying to rescue Reese and her children away from the aggressive Paparazzo.

Mr. Wallace initially was photographing Reese and her children from a distance in the park. Then he kept getting closer and closer. Finally, the park employees tried to help Reese get away from the photographer and Mr. Wallace supposedly became aggressive with them. He was cited for pushing a woman employee numerous times with his body. He was also cited for assaulting another theme park employee. Mr. Wallace has to appear in court to answer the charges next month.

Two weeks ago actress Scarlett Johansson also had a run in with Paparazzi photographers in the parking lot of Disney's theme park. She tried to run away from them and ended up in a minor collision with another car.

Scarlett Johansson Involved in Accident Fleeing From Paparazzi - Update

According to her publicist Scarlett Johansson hit a vehicle carrying a family in Disneyland's parking lot in Anaheim, CA. No one was hurt in the August 18, 2005 2 p.m. accident.

Scarlett, who was with two friends, was trying to get away from a group of 4 Paparazzi SUV trucks. She initially noticed the four SUV's following her as she drove on Interstate 5. Scarlett paid for and entered the Disneyland parking lot followed by the four Paparazzi SUV trucks. She then tried to run from the Paparazzi and swerved into the car.

The Four Paparazzi vehicles at seeing the accident surrounded her and the photographers jumped out to photograph the accident.

Her publicist stated that after the accident Scarlett left LA, because she could not deal with the constant presence of the Paparazzi following her day in and day out.

Scarlett had just returned from London after finishing a film. Apparently, the Paparazzi have been following her for the past 5 days.

Hey guys, enough is enough. Read up on harassment. Celebrities who are in the public eye should expect to be photographed, but they don’t deserve to be hounded for days. These accidents are happening too much. They are happening every few months. This is bad. Realize that because all you guys are hounding them so much the celebrities are fed up. You need to curb your aggressive tactics right away. Someone is going to get really hurt and no one wants to see that.

And, if you keep it up you will probably be out of a job. The only ones that can afford to find a new line of work are the wealthy L.A. Paparazzi agency owners. You guys will be out of work or worse in jail and the agency owners will be laughing all the way to the bank.

No one was hurt and Johansson and the other driver exchanged driver information and then she was off.

Shot LA Paparazzi Still Has Pellet In His Leg

The metal pellet is still in the leg of Brad Diaz, the photographer that was shot in front of Britney Spears house during her baby shower.

What is disturbing is that the Malibu Sheriff Dept. made statements that the pellet caused only an insignificant injury and only required a band-aide. The Malibu Sheriff Dept. sounded more like a publicist for Britney Spears instead of an impartial office looking for truth and justice in the incident.

Doctors have been afraid to remove the pellet for fear of doing more damage to Brad Diaz leg. The pellet probably is in deep. And, only after the many press inquiries about the shooting did the Sheriff Dept. reluctantly decide to assign an investigator to look into the incident.

Of course, the investigator will find nothing. The Sheriff Dept. has no love for the Paparazzi and no interest to hurt their relationships with the celebrities of Malibu. To repeat, of course the investigator will find nothing.

The Sheriff dept. does not seem to care that a weapon was fired at a human being. Yes, no matter what the Sheriff Dept or Hollywood thinks Paparazzi are still human beings. And, they should be given the same protection as the Sheriff Dept. gives the celebrities of Malibu.

If it was a pellet rifle and if it was shot at a distance into the group of photographers the pellet rifle was most likely aimed higher then where Mr. Diaz was hit in the upper leg. The person who fired the pellet probably aimed at Brad's chest or even his head. That is just basic physics. The longer the pellet travels the more it will drop towards the ground.

What would the Sheriff had said if Mr. Diaz would have been hit in the chest or the head. Probably it was still insignificant, because it was Paparazzi that was shot. Hey, one less Paparazzi to deal with.

The Police Are Called at Trendy Koi For Paris, Lindsey, Mischa

You can see a A-list celebrity or two dining on any given night at Koi. Over the weekend they had three there at once. Paris Hilton just back from her summer cruise in Europe, Mischa Barton, and Lindsey Lohan, were there at once.

There are always a few Paparazzi check out Koi at night. When the photographers found out who was inside the restaurant they called friends who called friends. In just about 20 minutes the front of Koi was filled with a gang of 12 to 14 Paparazzi. It was so bad according to Koi's management, that Koi’s patrons were having a hard time entering and exiting the restaurant. So, the police were called.

When the Police arrived they seemed angry and in no mood to deal with the photographers. Maybe, they are called too much nowadays for celebrity security and they don’t have time for real police work.

The cops rounded up the photographers, and asked them all for identification. They had told the photographers that the officer's had looked at Koi's surveillance video cameras, and the Paparazzi were getting out of line. So, they wanted to know the identity of each of the photographers.

After viewing each ones ID cards, the police not so nicely told the photographers to leave. Much to the dismay of the Paparazzi there would be no photos tonight of departing celebrities.

Jessica Simpson Stops Traffic on Rodeo Drive

Jessica Simpson decided to go shopping at Valentino on Rodeo Drive. She usually has a few Paparazzi vehicles following her at any given time. But, today she landed in the Paparazzi hunting ground, Rodeo Drive. It was not long when there were close to 30 Paparazzi waiting to get photos of Jessica.

The problem was that Rodeo Drive is full of tourists from states that have only read about celebrities and the closest they have ever come to seeing a real celebrity depends on how close they sit in front of their television. Hundreds of tourist passerby’s decided to stop and wait to see Jessica Simpson leave.

Traffic slowed to almost a stop as everyone spilled out onto the streets and people in cars stopped to watch the commotion. The scene looked more like a film opening instead of a celebrity shopping trip. So, as usual the Beverly Hills police were called.

When the police arrived they were immediately concerned at the mob scene. It was so bad on Rodeo Drive that they asked Jessica and her people to stop shopping and leave. They escorted Jessica out from the store into her car and gave her a police escort to the Beverly Hills city line, to help her flee the following Paparazzi. All in a days work for Beverly Hills finest.

French Paparazzi Photographer is being deported by the US

Mark Rylewski a French Citizen, Paparazzi and an illegal US resident has been picked up and detained, while he waits to be returned to France. Mr. Rylewski has freelanced for a few of the Paparazzi agencies in Los Angeles. He was also selling his photos under his website name: ins7ght.com.

It is unclear why Mr. Rylewski was picked up by the authorities. A Paparazzo who knew Mark claimed that he pissed off the wrong celebrity by trying to sue them.

The running joke among some of the Paparazzi is that if most of the illegal foreign Paparazzi were deported there would be very few photographers left in Los Angeles.

There are so many illegal French, British, German and South American Paparazzi in Los Angeles, that if the Hollywood community really wanted to stop being hounded by the Paparazzi they would just have these people deported.

Man Working For People Magazine Arrested For Tresspassing At Brad Pitt's Home

A man working for People Magazine was arrested and cited for trespassing on Brad Pitt's Santa Barbara property on Saturday.

Jeffrey Weiss of Beverly Hills was found by a security guard on a Bluff overlooking Brad Pitt's Home. The Bluff was part of Mr. Pitt's property.

Mr. Weiss received a Misdemeanor citation and was ordered to appear in Santa Barbara County Superior Court.

No Charges Against Paparazzi Chasing Reese Witherspoon

The Los Angeles DA declined to charge the Paparazzi with false imprisonment or any other crime in connection with the chase of Reese Witherspoon on April 16, 2005. Ms. Witherspoon claimed that the photographers had tried to box her in with their vehicles and not allow her vehicle to enter a guard gate near her Brentwood home.

The Los Angeles DA who viewed videotapes and photographs did not find any evidance of her charges.

LA Needs to Wake Up About The Paparazzi vs. Celebrity Problem

No one in this town seems to realize that the Paparazzi vs. Celebrity and the Paparazzi vs. Paparazzi problem is escalating. In the past few months there have been numerous incidents between the Paparazzi and the Celebrities. Many have been reported in the news many have not. And, both the Paparazzi and the Celebrities are at fault.

In the last few months there have been more problems with some of the top celebrities and their Paparazzi hunters then in the last 5 years. Here are some of the more publicized:

-Reese Witherspoon was blocked from entering her residence by Paparazzi vehicles.
-JLo had been chased and she claimed almost had an accident because of the Paparazzi.
-Cameron Diaz had a run in with a few photographers and physically attacked them and stole one of their cameras.
-Britney Spears mother ran over a photographer’s foot.
-Hugh Grant hit a photographer with his vehicle as he tried to escape from having his picture taken by the Ivy restaurant.
-Drew Barrymore tried to smash a photographer’s vehicle window with karate kicks to get at him and his cameras.
-Lindsey Lohan’s Mercedes was hit while she was being chased by the Paparazzi and she received a few bruises.
-Singer Seal screamed and threatened a Paparazzi photographer for getting too close.
And, now a Paparazzi photographer was shot in the leg covering Britney Spears baby shower.

Even the photographers are fighting among themselves more now. There are stories about the photographers getting angry if they are following a celebrity and they are not the lead Paparazzi vehicle. They will cut each other off, run lights and do just about anything they must to stay close behind the celebrity. Some of the Paparazzi complain that their fellow photographers will go so far as to threaten them with harm if they happen to “jump” a story their competition is working on.

And, nowadays everyone thinks that the competition is “jumping” their story. Single photographers are threatened and demeaned as soon as they try to take photographs the rival agency photographers are on. A photographer need’s to join some of these agencies for protection so that they can take pictures without being harassed by the agency Paparazzi photographers.

The problem is getting out of control. And, no one seems to care. Both sides complain, but no one is willing to do anything about it. Photographers used to say that if things don’t calm down someone is going to get hurt. Celebrities have also claimed they are afraid some one will get hurt. Well, both sides were right. At, Britney Spears house this Saturday evening the first shot rang out and someone got hurt by a Pellet Gun. So, it wasn’t a 38, a 45 or a 9mm it still was a gun. This is getting dangerous.

Everyone in Hollywood should wake up from their idiotic stupor, and acknowledge that something is wrong and needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Malibu Sheriff Dept.Change Their Tune About Paparazzi Shooting

A Malibu Sheriff spokesman initially claimed that the photographer shot covering a Britney Spears party received only a scratch and needed the smallest band-aid that the fire dept had. Brad Diaz, the photographer who was shot with a pellet gun is in a little worse shape then initially claimed. It seems that the hospital was afraid they could do more damage by removing the pellet from his leg. The Emergency room doctor’s decided that the safest course would be to leave the pellet in his leg.

The Sheriff further said that they do not investigate such small insignificant incidents as someone being shot with a pellet gun. In other words it was a non-crime. I bet that if a celebrity was mysteriously shot by a pellet gun and there were a number of Paparazzi around, the photographer’s would have each been questioned quite thoroughly. In the expensive community of Malibu where the celebrity “rules” justice and protection is very one sided.

Well, 2 days after the incident when the trail is gone a little cooler, the Malibu Sheriff spokesman issued a statement that because all the media inquiries and concerns on the Brad Diaz shooting that they will assign an officer to investigate.

The Malibu Sheriff Dept. has a callous attitude toward the Paparazzi. But, like them or not, the Paparazzi are still citizens of Los Angeles and still deserve protection like any other citizen and celebrity, So, hopefully the Sheriff dept will in fact really investigate and find the insane person who did this stupid thing.

An interesting side note, as of Monday, because of all the press inquiries and interest from around the world the Malibu Sheriff dept was not commenting on the shooting.

Paparazzi Shot Outside of Britney Spears House

A Paparazzi photographer was shot outside a Malibu house that Britney Spears is renting. The photographers were at her Malibu house Saturday in force to cover a Baby Shower for Britney that was taking place inside.

Photographers have said that her security were not too pleased to have everyone around here house. There were Paparazzi helicopters flying around occasionally up above and a lot of Paparazzi on the ground in front of her house trying to see who arrived. The security seemed agitated. Then around 6:00 pm one of the security guards who was either playing around or purposely trying to hurt or scare them fired a pellet gun at the group of photographers.

Brad Diaz who is a freelance photographer, based in LA was hit in the leg by the pellet. With the pellet lodged in his leg, the Malibu Fire Dept was called as well as an ambulance which took Mr. Diaz to a Santa Monica Hospital.

He was released a few hours later with the pellet still lodged about an inch deep in his leg. Doctors were afraid that they might cause more damage to his leg by taking it out right now, so they decided to leave the pellet in.

The security guard was questioned by police but was not arrested.

This is a travesty of justice and shows how hated the Paparazzi are in LA. The security guard should have been arrested for firing the pistal at the photographer. But, the police don't like the Paparazzi in Malibu and seem to be saying that it is OK for security to shoot a photographer and not get into trouble for it.

If a photographer had done the same thing he would have been thrown in jail probably for a long time. This is one sided justice.

Celebrities and the people who work for them should be held accountable just like everyone else for illegal activity. And, shooting someone with a pellet gun should be considered illegal activity. The celebrities should not be given special privilages which happens a lot in this town.

LA needs to wake up to the problem between the celebrities and the Paparazzi. In the last few months there have been quite a number of incidents between celebrities and the Paparazzi. And, tension between the two groups and the types of accidents between them are becoming more dangerous.

People should realize sooner or later someone is going to get hurt very badly. Everyone, says they don't want that. The Paparazzi all think that there can be a problem down the road, but they are unwilling to control themselves. The celebrities are complaining that there could be a serious accident yet they make the Paparazzi chase them by speeding. And, both side are frustrated and angry.

It seems no one in Hollywood wants an accident to happen. Yet, everyone wants someone else to solve the problem. Neither side wants to get involved in helping solve the situation.

Celebrities and Paparazzi have to face up to the fact that there is a dangerous problem in this town between them and they have to come up with some kind of truce between them.

And, the self appointed "blowhards", Ok, spokespersons for the two groups, Paparazzo, Frank Griffin and Publicist, Ken Sunshine should each find someone with a little more intelligence who doesn't sound so egotistical to speak for each of them.

Celebrities don't realize that they need the photographers they despise because these guys fill the magazines with photos that the public wants. And, as long as the public wants to read about the celebrity, they will spend the obscene amounts of money to go see the mediocre movies and buy the mediocre CD's some of the top celebrities put out.

The Paparazzi Are Being Photographed

The Paparazzi are now becoming the story. There is an effort among Hollywood's top stars to chronicle the day to day activities of the Paparazzi. So, the Paparazzi are now the ones being photographed.

Everyone is doing it. Jennifer Gardner, Drew Barrymore, Reese Witherspoon, Lindsey Lohen, Brad Pitt and others are all carrying small digital cameras or video cameras. When the celebrity is pounced upon by a band of Paparazzi the celebrity will whip out their camera and start recording the Paparazzi.

This weekend there were complaints from the Paparazzi who roam the beaches of Malibu in search of celebrities. The photographers found Leo Dicaprio on the beach and a group of them started to take photographs. A few of Leo's neighbors started photographing the Paparazzi yelling at them to get away from their properties. It became a circus on the beach with he Paparazzi in the middle of the commotion.

What is being done with the photographs is anyone’s guess. The DA is said to be investigating the LA Paparazzi scene. Maybe they have asked Hollywood for help. Or, maybe the celebrities have had enough and just want to give the Paparazzi a little bit of what the celebrities endure every day.

Lindsey Lohan Is Driving Out of Control

Lindsey Lohan is young, famous and a prime target for the Paparazzi. They try to photograph her whenever they can because they know photos of her sell. She has been going from hotel to hotel in LA and the Paparazzi keep finding her. And, she is fed up.

She drives a very expensive top of the line super fast Mercedes SL65 V12 sports car. And, she is using most of the horsepower running from the Paparazzi. One night she was being followed by three to four Paparazzi vehicles and she decided she had enough.

According to one photographer she opened up her Mercedes on one of the freeways. Reaching speeds of 110 mph she lost some of the Paparazzi. But, one was able to stay up with her for a little while until he lost her. He was heard complaining that one mistake at that speed and he could have wiped out easily.

The photographers are crazy to endanger their lives like that. And, Lindsey Lohan is crazy to endanger her life like that. She is not acting in a "Herbie" movie, racing on an enclosed track with professional stuntmen. She is on public streets with lots of innocent people who are driving their vehicles at the lawful speed. If Lindsey makes one mistake she will definitely kill herself, but the scary thing is that because of her stupid stunts she will kill an innocent driver who was minding his or her own business.

The Paparazzi photographers must be stopped from chasing at such high speeds. But, also the celebrities should be responsible enough to know that even though they are being followed, they should not be running away at such high speeds.

This game of cat and mouse is going to eventually get someone hurt or killed. It might be a celebrity, a photographer or an innocent bystander.

And, after the tragedy happens then the blame will be passed back and forth from celebrity to photographer. Yet, they are both equally responsible. And, both the celebrities and paparazzi should realize today, what they are doing is wrong. They should both take it upon themselves to stop these dangerous tactics.

And, Lindsey you have already had one close call with a Paparazzi vehicle. You were lucky you did not get hurt. So, why don't you slow down and stop the dangerous driving.

Seal is Concerned About The Paparazzi

Singer Seal who is married to model Heidi Klum is concerned about the Paparazzi who chase his pregnant wife Heidi Klum and him in Los Angeles. He is afraid that eventually there might be an accident similar to the Princess Diana Tragedy that ended with her death in France. He fears for his wife and unborn child. Heidi drives around LA by herself and is chased by some of the more aggressive Paparazzi.

Seal had an altercation with a Paparazzi photographer in New York when the photographer apparently tripped and pushed Heidi's Mother. Seal became very angry screaming and cursing at the photographer.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Together In Malibu

Angelina Jolie and her son Maddox and new adopted baby are staying with Brad Pitt at his Malibu Beach house near Broadbeach Rd. And, the Paparazzi are 5 deep on the Pacific Coast Highway waiting to catch a glimpse of the two of them. At times there have been up to thirty Paparazzi vehicles waiting near Brad's home for both of them to come out so they could be followed and photographed.

Brad has been coming out of the house on his custom motorcycle. He is being chased everyday by a convoy of photographer vehicles as he usually heads into Los Angeles. Brad tends to ride the motorcycle at high speeds, especially when he is chased by the photographers. It is a very dangerous situation.

He has asked the Malibu police for assistance with the Paparazzi, but there is only so much the police can do. We hear that they have tried to block and prevent the Paparazzi vehicles from following him, The photographers have resorted to spreading the vehicles all over the PCH, on the way towards Los Angeles. When Brad rides by the photographers join the chase.

Angelina has tried to lesson the intense interest of the photographers by making a couple of appearances in the Malibu and nearby Calabasas shopping centers carrying her new baby. Lot's of photographs have been taken, but it hasn't lessoned the frenzy.

The photographers are still keeping a vigil hoping to get the star couple together.

The Celebrities Are at War With the Paparazzi

It is war in LA between the celebrities and the Paparazzi. In the last two weeks the celebrities are telling the photographers that they are fed up and are not going to take it anymore. And, the anger towards the Paparazzi has never been so intense.

Ashton Kutcher had a run in with a paparazzo who just wanted to take his photo. It seems that Ashton was in no mood and wasn't going to have it. When the snapper started taking photos without asking, Ashton saw red and decided to take the matter into his own hands. He physically went after the photographer who was still in his vehicle grabbed the photographer’s shirt and ripped it right off the photographers back. It was all caught on video tape and is being peddled to tabloid TV.

Cameron Diaz was with some friends this week when a paparazzo started taking photos of her. The "Charlie Angels" star got pissed and started kicking him with her foot. She ended up kicking him 3 times before leaving. The photographers all know Cameron is not nice when it comes to the Paparazzi. She has had run-ins with a number of photographers and is getting meaner and meaner with the photographers.

Lindsay Lohan seems to be fed up with the ever present Paparazzi. A few days ago she was out with friends and a few photographers started taking her picture. She also had enough with these guys and picked up a glass bottle and hurled it at a photographer, hitting him in the chest. Lucky for her, the photographer was not hurt.

And, Hugh Grant who is known to be downright nasty to the Paparazzi was on Robertson at the Ivy restaurant when the photographer’s spotted him and tried to take his photo. The Ivy is famous in LA. It is the place for the Hollywood movers and shakers to be seen. It is known that a good number of photographers hang out there in the afternoons. Celebrities who want to be photographed always go to Robertson near the Ivy. So, Hugh should have known better.

He went after one unlucky photographer who was snapping away but stopped before any blows were thrown. And, while leaving in his vehicle swerved and hit a photographer with his vehicle. The shaken photographer is deciding whether he going to sue Hugh. It was also caught on videotape and was shown on some of the tabloid TV shows.

The celebrities are frustrated with such an intense microscopic look into their lives. And, they seem to collectively decided they have had enough.

NY Times Article on the Paparazzi Wars is Accurate

There is a Great Article in the NY Times about the Paparazzi Wars in LA. The article is called, Eye vs. Eye: Inside the Photo Wars By DAVID M. HALBFINGER and ALLISON HOPE WEINER, July 17, 2005. go to www.nytimes.com and do a search for paparazzi to find the article.

The reporters talk to Frank Griffin of the Bauer & Griffin LA photo agency. Griffin loves to do interviews with anyone that will listen to him. He is British and an arrogant, nasty person and I think the article shows this. People wonder why there is so much trouble with the paparazzi in LA. I think it is because of people like Frank Griffin and the other agency owners who have put too many photographers on the streets of LA in order to get more and more photos.

The bottom line is these owners are greedy. The agency owners want to make as much money as they can. It is the American Way. This is funny because most of them are Europeans who have found gold in the United States. And, this gold brings out the greedy and nasty side of these people. They will claim they are just businessmen who are profiting from all the interest in celebrities. They hide behind the 1st Amendment when in fact that they are just snake oil salesman.

The Paparazzi business is such an overcrowded market that the photographers now fight each other for a photo. And, they have lost sight of right and wrong because they are trying to make a living and need to get paid by these agency owners. And, in order to get paid the photographers need to constantly bring material to the agencies. And, the photographers will get the photos by any means possible. If that includes speeding recklessly or running red lights and stop signs on the streets of LA, they do it to feed themselves and make the agency owners rich.

Celebrities Are Fed Up With The Paparazzi

There are so many Paparazzi photographers in New York and Los Angeles that the celebrities are all getting fed up. An A-list celebrity cannot go out in Los Angeles or New York City without bumping into at least one photographer wherever the celebrity goes. The Paparazzi are at the shopping plazas, the doctor’s offices, food stores and even in front of the different A-list celebrity homes.

Los Angeles is dangerous because the Paparazzi use vehicles in the pursuit of a picture. Some of the celebrities run for whatever reason. The Paparazzi, instead of backing off and trying to get a photo another day start to chase their celebrity prey. This is very dangerous for both the celebrity and the Paparazzi.

If a celebrity stays out all day in Los Angeles and drives around the town, they will constantly pick up another Paparazzi vehicle that will follow them. By the end of the day there could be a dozen Paparazzi vehicles following a celebrity around in a caravan of vehicles. The celebrities are getting frustrated and fed up.

What everyone is forgetting in LA, is that the using a vehicle to run and to chase puts everyone at risk of getting hurt or even killed. And, the question everyone in the business is asking is not if someone is going to get hurt but when is someone going to get hurt.

The LA Law Is Going After The Paparazzi

The Paparazzi are in the news. Their aggressive behavior has been criticized by Hollywood. Now, it is being watched by LA law enforcement.

With all the recent mishaps between the celebrities and the Paparazzi in the last few months the Celebrities are angry. There has been so much trouble lately that the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office is investigating the Paparazzi behavior in Los Angeles.

The District Attorney is deciding whether they should go after the Paparazzi and their agencies and charge certain ones with Criminal Conspiracy which is a felony. The District Attorney is investigating whether the photographers work together to go after the celebrities and possibly cause them harm.

There is a problem in Los Angeles with certain overly aggressive Paparazzi photographers working with certain agencies and some foreign hard core Paparazzi.

A number of the foreign photographers have come to Los Angeles because their own countries don't condone what they do and have tried to stop or slow them down before someone gets hurt. So, they all come to the United States and Los Angeles to practice their hard core form of journalism. And, they are teaching certain US companies their foreign techniques.

Many of the foreign Paparazzi are very aggressive drivers and this is where the problems start. Because these guys have no problem with high speed aggressive pursuits of the A-list celebrities.

These photographers come from the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Australia. Now, there are a number of photographers practicing this type of aggressive journalism from South America. Many are illegal in this country. They do not have work visas. Many have tourist visas and once here just stay indefinitely.

Do the photographers work together? Yes, some from certain agencies do. Many use Nextel Warlike Talkie phones to keep in touch with each other. When there is a celebrity sighting, these photographers will call in "the troops" to help them follow the celebrity and get the best photo from different angles and also try to block out their Paparazzi competition.

Do the photographers intestinally run celebrities off the road? No, they don't. But, the driving is sometime fast with many vehicles from different agencies following. With so many Paparazzi vehicles and celebrities running to try and lose these Paparazzi vehicles mistakes are made by both the celebrity and the aggressive Paparazzi.

Fault should equally fall on both parties. The celebrity from thinking that because they can by fast expensive cars they are capable of running away and losing the photographers. The Paparazzi should not participate in these high speed chases having to run red lights and stop signs to keep up with the fleeing celebrity.

It is a dangerous game for both the celebrity and the Paparazzi. Sooner or later unless something is done about it, someone either a Paparazzi or celebrity is going to get seriously hurt.

An accident is something no one wants. So, everyone should slow down.

Paparazzi Will Try Anything for a Photo

There have been rumors that some photographers are using or have used a changer box to change a red traffic light to green in Los Angeles. These are used by emergency and law official vehicles answering emergency calls.

Most of this account is heresy. We have no proof and hope this is just a wishful rumor. According to a third party photographer the problem with using these devices is that it catches people in cross walks or vehicles all ready in intersections off guard and can create accidents if not used properly.

One photographer looked into the box but wouldn't use it because of the dangers. But, some of the photographers in this business don't seem to care about anyone but themselves and even though there is no proof they have them at this time, could very well use them if they could get there hands on one.

To think that certain Paparazzi would stoop to such a dangerous low is unbelievable. But, this business is very competitive and a lot of guys seem to want to "push the envelope" to get photos.

Seal and Heidi Klum Are Fed Up With The Paparazzi

Seal and Heidi Klum are in New York where she has an apartment in the West Village. They decided to go to a restaurant called "Bar Pitti" on 6th Ave in the West Village.

Because of so many celebrities living in the West Village - Soho area, a great number of Paparazzi photographers roam there on a daily basis. Bar Pitti is one of the restaurants checked regularly. So, if you are a celebrity and looking not to been seen and photographed you should avoid this restaurant.

Apparently, Seal and Heidi dine here whenever they are in New York City. They have been photographed here before. Heidi has been photographed here lot's of times. So, they no the score.

On this day, there were a number of Paparazzi lurking around waiting for a celebrity to show. The Paparazzi went into high gear to get a photo of Seal and Heidi who showed up with her parents.

By accident, one photographer bumped or pushed Heidi's mother and she let out a scream. Seal got very angry and went after the photographer screaming and threatening to hit him. The photographer apparently was yelling back at Seal which made him angrier. No punches were thrown and no one was really hurt. Seal got some bad publicity over it because he lost his temper.

Did the photographer do it on purpose. No. Were the photographers too aggressive in trying to get their photos. Probably.

Because, there are so many Paparazzi roaming around both New York and Los Angeles they are getting more and more aggressive in trying to get photos. And, within the last two years these types of incidents are becoming more common as the celebrities become more frustrated with the situation.

Camera's of the Paparazzi

So you want to be a Paparazzi photographer. The first and most important piece of equipment you need is a camera and lens. Today, to be competitive you need good quality professional equipment. That means there are really only two brands of cameras that everyone uses.

All Paparazzi photographers either use Canon or Nikon digital cameras. Nothing else. Film cameras are out. This business is so faced paced that by the time you process your film, scan it into the computer and then send it to a magazine you have lost the sale. Your competition has beat you out of a sale with their digital camera.

There are only two cameras from Canon and two from Nikon that you should look at. Depending on your finances Canon has the top of the line Canon 1D Mark II or the Canon 20D. The Mark II sells for $4,500. The Canon 20 D sells for $1,500. Most top of the line Paparazzi's use the Mark II.

In the Nikon Line the camera of choice is the Nikon D2X which sells for about $5,000 or the D70 which sells for $1,500.

The US Paparazzi tend to use Canon and the British Paparazzi tend to use Nikon.

For a beginning Paparazzo the Canon 20D is perfect. Now, you need to add a few lenses. For the Canon the best lens to start is the 28-300mm pro lens. It is new a little expensive at about $2.400 but it covers most of the shooting situations you would need. For a little longer lens to shoot on the beach of from a greater distance there is Canon's 100-400mm lens which most Paparazzi own. For close range a 17-35mm lens is ideal.

Get this equipment, learn how to use it move to LA or NY and you will be able to start your career in Paparazzi photography.

Just remember to learn how to take insults like, "Get a life" (Julia Roberts, Mel Gibson, and most of the celebrities in LA) or "Why can't you be human and not so hurtful" (Renee Zellweger) and you can start making those mega bucks everyone always talks about!

Julia Roberts Scolds The Paparazzi

Julia Roberts and her two babies have been spending a lot of time in New York City. The Paparazzi have been trying to get a first photo on the street of Julia and her babies. Julia told one Paparazzo "It will never happen!" She, is just one of the many top celebrities that hate the Paparazzi photographers.

That does not deter the photographers. One day two photographers thought that they were being "slick" by staying back when she was walking around the neighborhood where she lives. The two were staying in their SUV with dark windows and shooting from the vehicle.

A lot of Paparazzi use this technique. Most have SUV's with very dark tinted windows so that no one can see into the vehicle. In Los Angeles it is the norm among the photographers. But, the problem is that many celebrities are smartening up and becoming aware of who and what is around them when they are "out and about" on the streets. They know that if a dark tinted vehicle is nearby the celebrity assumes it is filled with a couple of Paparazzi.

Julia is one of the best at spotting the Paparazzi because when she is in LA, they are stalking her on a 24/7 basis. And, in LA, these guys are very aggressive and not subtle.

So, Julia spotted these guys from the "get go". And, she put up with it for a little while. But then all of a sudden she decided she had had enough and ran straight for the parked vehicle and knocked on the closed window and started yelling, "I know you are in there! Open up. I want to talk to you!" in the middle of the street.

Finally, the photographer opened up and tried to tell her a story. He wasn't a photographer, just driving by and spotted her. But, she wasn't buying it. She told him in a loud angry voice that she knew there was someone in the back of the vehicle photographing her and she wanted them to stop and leave her alone.

The two Paparazzi photographer's sheepishly agreed to leave her alone for the day since she "Busted" them. With their promise to leave her alone, Julia quieted down a little and told them that if she sees them again around her house there will be "Hell to pay".

As a final threat, she jotted down the vehicle license plate and walked away from the two very stunned and embarrassed Paparazzi.

Lindsey Lohan has run in with the Paparazzi

Lindsey Lohan was involved in a car crash with a Paparazzi photographer Tuesday evening. Her Mercedes was damaged on the drivers side by the door and front fender from the crash. There is a huge ugly gash in the right side of her door. The metal of the outer door panel was completely sheared away. Lindsey was appearently unhurt from the crash.

Lindsey has been recently hounded by the relentless Paparazzi ever since the news came out that her father will have to do jail time for stock fraud. The photographers have been camped out at her Beverly Hills hotel day and night.

Whenever she has left her hotel, there has been a caravan of Paparazzi cars following her. Reports say she has called the police on numorous occassions to complain about the chasing Paparazzi. She even made a call right before the accident to complain about the aggressive photographers following her.

A 24 year old photographer, Galo Ramirez from the Fame photo agency in LA has been booked on suspician of assault with a deadly weapon. He has been released on $35,000 bail.

Halle Berry Makes Grocery Shopping an Event in Malibu

Malibu, CA: Halle Berry is spending the weekend at her Malibu Beach house for the Memorial Day Weekend. She went to the local Supermarket to buy a few groceries. Halle never figured that her shopping would turn out to be a major Malibu event.

Photographers got word that Halle was in Malibu and arrived at Ralph's Market to take Halle's photo.

Local residents stopped to see what all the commotion was about with all the photographers waiting around the entrance to the market. By the time Halle exited the Ralph's Market there were 20 photographers snapping photos of the actress.

One local woman asked the actess if she was famous. Halle replied that she was no more famous than the woman who asked.

Jessica Simpson and husband Nick Lachey reluctantly smile for the photographers

Jessica Simpson and husband Nick Lachey went shopping near their Calabasas home early this week. Followed by 9 vehicles, it seemed like a wagon train as the Paparazzi followed them to the Von's supermarket.

Because of the constant rumors and speculation of the demise of Jessica and Nick's marriage, the photographers have been following the couple daily. Wherever they travel around in LA there is a pack of cars following. The photographers follow the couple in hopes of getting some kind of a "scoop". The Paparazzi and the magazines have put the couple under a microscope in hopes that someone will be able to break the story when and if they seperate. This has put a lot of preassure on both Nick and Jessica and sometimes it shows in their not wanting to be photographed.

As the couple shopped the photographers in their vehicles zoomed around the parking lot looking for the "perfect" vantage point to take photos of the couple leaving. The photographers made a packed with each other to give the couple room when they came out of the supermarket. But, there is no honor among thieves in this business.

But, as is always the case one photographer jumped out of his car and then all the rest followed suit when the couple exited the Vons supermarket. With 9 Paparazzi taking photos, a smiling Nick told the shooters, that they "really need to find a better line of work."

Zsa Zsa Gobor's husband Prince Frederick von Anhalt fight the Paparazzi

Zsa Zsa Gobor's husband Prince Frederick von Anhalt got fed up at the Paparazzi over the weekend. It seems that Zsa Zsa wanted her hair coiffed at a Beverly Hills salon. The Paparazzi were tipped off by a customer and they came running.

Zsa Zsa had her hair done and Prince Frederick patiently waited in the reception room. Afterward, Prince Frederick was taking the actress in a wheel chair back to their car and encountered a few Paparazzi. Frederick flipped and went after one of the photographers. He caught up with the unlucky shooter and Frederick punched the guy in the mouth and face splitting the photographer's lip. Police were called and charges are being figured out.

It is war in LA.

How The Paparazzi Find Celebrities

It is sometimes not easy finding celebrities out and about. It takes a lot of hard work and great information. Most of the information comes from informants and tips. A good Paparazzo will be able to cultivate these sources into a profitable business. And, all the good Paparazzo's who make a lot of money have these informants.

LA is the town of informants. Everyone is willing to sell out a celebrity for a price. A celebrity can not go anywhere in this town without risking being given up for cash to the Paparazzi agencies or individual photographers. Sometimes the celebrities themselves or their agents and managers will tip off the Paparazzi for some fast and free publicity.

If you are a parking attendant or doorman and work where celebrities shop, eat or have fun, you can handsomely supplement your salary by tipping off the different Paparazzi agencies. Minimum cash fee is $100. Depending on who the celebrity is or who they are with and what they are doing, prices for informing can go much higher. In certain instances Paparazzi's have paid tipsters a couple thousand dollars for very good exclusive information on A list celebrities.

A celebrity's secretary, maid, chauffer, gardner or security personal all can be bought. Give anyone enough cash and they will spill the beans fast. There are always rumors that a Paparazzi Agency or Celebrity magazine has this A list celebrity's personal in their pocket.

A good tip off is when photos appear of a certain celebrity over and over by the same photographer or Paparazzi agency. They are paying someone for information in the celebrity's camp.

Luck plays a very small part in the Paparazzi business. As the saying goes, "Cash is King." And, in LA there is always someone wanting more cash.

Paparazzi Gang's of LA

There are now so many Paparazzi photographers chasing the same A list celebrities that fights are starting to break out between the photographers in LA.

It is rumored that there are between 180 to 230 Paparazzi photographers trying to make a living in LA. It could be more because a lot of European Paparazzi are arriving in LA each month.

Most Paparazzi work for a few different photo agencies. Some work for themselves by submitting their photographs to different agency's as freelance photographers. But, it is getting harder for the freelance photographers to work for themselves in LA especially when it comes to the A list celebrities. And, either the freelancer gives in and joins one of these agency/gangs or he will have a hard time earning a living as a photographer.

Some of the more hard core Paparazzi agencies are acting like street gangs and using cameras instead of guns. Yes, these Paparazzi photographers are acting more like street gangs people read about in the magazines and watch on TV then photographers. They will threaten or fight other Paparazzi photographers in order to protect their celebrity turf. Photographers are told in no uncertain terms to stay away from certain A list celebrity’s that are special to these photographer gangs.

An example is Britney Spears. Britney is probably the top celebrity in LA right now. And, every magazine wants a photo of pregnant Britney and her husband out and about in LA. Certain groups of photographers specialize in following and trying to photograph Britney wherever she goes. If a rival group tries to work on Britney and follow her around, then fights happen.

The Paparazzi groups will physically block each other with their vehicles when following. The group with the most photographers usually will be able to follow the celebrity. These groups have photographers and blockers. A few of the Paparazzi from the group will block rival groups from following. This allows the main photographers to follow and take exclusive photographs.

If a lone freelancer try's to follow they don't have a chance. They will immediately be set upon by a few vehicles and prevented from following the celebrity and the rival photographers. This is leading to a lot of frustration among the photographers and fights starting to break out.

Yes, it is getting ugly in LA.

Charisma Carpenter of "Buffy" Meets The Paparazzi

The Paparazzi were about 18 strong in Malibu this weekend. There were a large proportion of French and German Photographers floating around. They were after no one in particular. It was a beautiful day in LA and all the photographers hoped that the celebs would be on the beach in Malibu.

Towards the end of the day the photographers usually end up at the Malibu shopping center, where they might see a celeb coming to do some grocery shopping or even buy a few items from the many boutiques. In the middle of the shopping center is a playground and eating area. A lot of celebs bring their children there to play.

It was at the eating area where the Paparazzi were hanging out watching each other and watching the families on the playground. The photographers tend to sometime play a game when they are bored. They will watch each other to see who if the competition is getting ready to take any photos. They will try to find out who the competition is photographing and then jump and also take photos.

Well, all of a sudden one photographer spotted Charisma Carpenter, her husband and their son on the playground. Chrisma was an actress from the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" TV series. The interesting thing is Chrisma is not a household name and many people don't recognize her. In fact almost all of the Paparazzi failed to spot her or didn't care to take her photo except for one photographer who started taking photos.

But, Bedlum ensued. One after another photographers whipped out their cameras. The ones that had left their camera in their cars ran to fetch them. From every corner of the playground photographers snapped photos. But, the funny thing is that when asked nobody new who they were photographing! They took the photo because the competition was taking photos and no one wanted to go home empty handed in case this was someone important.

Charisma seemed to not mind. In fact she seemed a little surprised by all the attention. Her son intially started to cry with all the commotion, but he was soon quieted down by Charisma and had fun playing in the sand. Charisma never uttered a word to the photogaphers. She just played with her son. But, it will probably be a long time before she comes back to Malibu on a weekend.

Mel Gibson is a Cry Baby

Mel Gibson hates to have his picture taken when he is out and about LA. He usually has a temper tantrum when he spots a photographer. He screams and yells at the photographers who try to take his photo. It is kind of funny to watch because Mel looks so stupid when he gets angry. Mel, it is only a photo!

He shouldn't really be too upset, because his celebrity has diminished in the last few years. He is getting older and there are just too many hot young celebrities that have taken his place in superstardom.

The photographers tend to take his photo because most of the time they are either bored and he just happens to come by. Or a photographer needs a quick photo to give to their boss to show them that they have earned their salary for that day.

No photographer starts their day in LA saying let's take Mel's picture. They are more interested in Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and a few others. Not, Mel Gibson. The Paparazzi know it is quite hard to market of photo of Mel Gibson. So, in a way they are doing him a favor taking his photo. He should feel good to have the attention.

I don't understand a lot of these celebrities. They earn unbelievable amounts of money. They live glorious lives. They are given anything they ask for. They have every material thing they could want, and they get annoyed because the Paparazzi bother them.

Mel, I will trade you. Give me your houses, your wealth, and your celebrity and I promise you I will not complain one iota. The Paparazzi can take my photo at anytime while I am on the streets of LA or near my house. If they find me when I am on vacation, they can go right ahead and snap away. I promise I won't complain. I will be having fun just doing nothing all day and spending money on things I really don't need. I will feel very lucky that I have the life I have and not have to work a 9 to 5 job and live like most others.

Mel, we all know you would never give up all the wealth, the homes, the material things you have. You like them too much.

So, stop being a cry baby.

Lindsey Lohan is Fed Up with the Paparazzi

Add Lindsey Lohan to a list of celebrities who are getting fed up with the Paparazzi. The 19 year old seemed to like all the attention at first. Now she is getting a little tired of the constant attention. Wherever she goes there are a few photographers right behind her.

Yesterday afternoon she had lunch at the Orso restaurant on Third street in West Hollywood. She was with a few friends. When she exited the restaurant she found out there were 7 photographers waiting for her to go to her car, a V12 Mercedes. When they started snapping away she ran back inside the restaurant and had a friend go to the parking attendant to have her car ready to make a quick getaway.

With her car in front she ran through the gauntlet of photographers all snapping her photo. She seemed a little pissed. But, this was only the start. When she got into her car she couldn't figure out how to get her seatbelt on because she was trying to duck the cameras. She finally put up her purse to block her face from the snapping Paparazzi cursing up a storm at the guys. She managed to get the seatbelt set and pull away from the restaurant with the Paparazzi vehicles on her tail.

She drove around Beverly Hills and West Hollywood trying to shake her pursuers. It was just no use. There were just too many Paparazzi cars following her. At one point she did a quick U-turn to try to get away from the lead cars. That didn't work because there were so many cars following her that the rear cars did a U-turn with her in sync and got in front of her. She then did another U-turn but there were more cars in front of her again. She looked very perplexed as to what to do next. Wherever she turned, there was a Paparazzi in a car.

So she did the next best thing. She found a Beverly Hills boutique with a parking attendant. She jumped out of her Mercedes, threw the attendant the keys on a run and dashed into the boutique to do some shopping and some thinking about how to get away from the photographers. She seemed to be hoping they would all just go away.

To her dismay, they stayed. They photographed her shopping, and trying on clothes. She stayed in the store for quite some time. And, the photographers stayed outside taking picture after picture. Finally, when she was about to leave she got the store personal to go and have the parking attendant bring her car to the rear exit of the store. Now, many celebrities try this trick and all Paparazzi know that the leave from the back exit is being tried on them. And, it never works, but still the celebrities try, maybe out of frustration.

Lindsey's Mercedes was driven to the rear exit along with a few photographers tailing her car. And, to her dismay, they photographed her leaving the store and followed her all the way back to the hotel, where as if to admit defeat she gave them a reluctant photo opportunity by not running into the hotel.

Kate Beckinsale At The Gym

Kate Beckinsale keeps her great body in shape by working out at a Santa Monica gym. Of course, the Paparazzi know when she will arrive and how long she will work out. Two cars followed her to the gym from her home. She new these guys were on her tail and when she arrived at the gym because she bolted from the passenger side of her vehicle into the rear entrance.

It seems that every place in LA has a snitch. A number of the bigger Paparazzi Agencies boast about how much cash they use to payoff their informants each month. Within twenty minutes of Kate arriving at the gym two more vehicles arrived. Probably called by someone inside the gym.

But, the gym staff was prepared for the Paparazzi. The door to the patio which is usually open so that Kate can do some exercise outdoors was shut and guarded. So, all the photographers could do was wait for her to finish her workout. They would try to photographer her when she went to her awaiting car. But, she surprised everyone by sprinting to her car. No one got any decent photos.

No photos mean Agency bosses will be pissed. So, a follow started. Kate is one of the better celebrities when it comes to the Paparazzi wagon trains that care becoming more common in LA. The wagon trains can turn into high speed law breaking chases if the celebrity starts running. But, Kate's driver kept to the speed limit as the three or four vehicles followed her home.

Another day in LA with the Paparazzi.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Spend a Quiet Week in Mexico

Tom Cruise his kids and new girlfriend Katie Holmes vacationed together in Mexico this past weekend. They actually got there on Thursday of last week and left yesterday for LA. They stayed at a very fancy resort on the shore about an hour south of Cancun. According to people who stayed at the same hotel as the celebrity couple, the two were having a great time with each other.

Tom, Katie and the kids would get up early each morning to go to the beach for a few hours. In the afternoon it was quiet time and in the evening it was an early dinner. On Friday they went snorkeling for a few hours. On Saturday they were spotted boarding a boat to spend another few hours snorkeling.

A few LA photographers from two different agencies got wind of the couple's Mexican vacation and hopped a plane early Saturday morning hoping to catch the couple as they came back from their snorkeling trip. But, the couple never showed back at the hotel.

For five frantic days the Paparazzi combed the area looking for Cruise and Holmes. But, the photographers had no luck finding their prey. Though, on Wednesday one lucky photographer got a few photos of Tom and Katie boarding a private plane back to LA .

Tom has always been very Anti-Paparazzi. As one photographer told me Tom can smell when they are around him. Well, his nose seemed to be working overtime this weekend. It seems that Tom got wind of the pending arrival of the Paparazzi photographers and switched to another hotel a few miles away. Tom seemed to know every move the Paparazzi made and was never around for the guys to catch him. He had a great trip with Katie and the kids and not one photo was taken.

Goldie Hawn Goes Shopping in Malibu

Goldie Hawn was spotted shopping recently in Malibu. She had to run the gauntlet of Paparazzi stationed there. It is starting to look like a red carpet event with all the photographers that hang out in the Malibu shopping area.

Goldie was a little shocked but very sweet by all the attention. She is the consummate professional even when she isn't working. She really knows how to work the crowd.

A Very Pregnant Denise Richards Spotted In Malibu

As you have probably read, actress Denise Richards has filed for divorce from Charlie Sheen. Because of this she is celebrity news and the Paparazzi come flying whenever they hear that she is around.

A few days ago she was with her baby and another friend shopping in Malibu when the European Paparazzi found her. The only thing that seems to concern a lot of these photographers are that they get a photograph. They care about nothing else.

It was of little concern to a lot of these guys that Denise is very pregnant. They pounced on her and photographed her all the way from the shopping area to her vehicle. Stood around her like Indians circling a wagon train and took photo after photo. If she tripped or fell, probably a lot of these guys would just keep clicking away.

She just went about her business with big friendly smile loading her baby and packages without acknowledging the photographers.

Jim Carey sighting in Malibu

A lot is happening in Malibu. More and more celebrities are moving there and buying homes. The summer season is going to be wall to wall celebrities.

Jim Carey has a house in Malibu. He doesn't spend much time there, but you do hear of an occasional sighting. Jim has recently been spotted a few times riding the streets near his home on his custom Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Occasionally, Jim and his buddies will stop at the local Coffee Bean to get a cup of coffee. They will sit outside on the patio and chat with the locals or just relax before heading back home.

One afternoon the Paparazzi spotted him at the Coffee Bean and waited for him to get on his motorcycle. He obliged before roaring off.

Halle Berry Meets the Malibu Paparazzi

Halle Berry was shopping in Malibu this afternoon. She has a new beach home nearby. A few European photographers were tipped off that Halle was shopping at some of the Malibu boutiques. They hid in their vehicles near her Range Rover and awaited her return.

As Halle returned to her Range Rover they jumped out and started snapping photos. Halle is a pro and didn't say anything to these guys. But, she didn’t look like she was enjoying the attention. She had her head lowered a little and kept looking towards the ground. She made it to her Range Rover without bumping into anything and drove back to her nearby home.

With her head down, the photographers will not be too successful publishing their photos. Magazines tend to like the celebrity looking toward the camera. It has to be an amazing story to have a celebrity published with their head down and their eyes averted away from the camera.

But to a lot of these guys it doesn't seem to matter whether they take a flattering photo. They just want an image, any image. Nothing more.

Courtney Cox and David Arquette Call The Cops on the Paparazzi

Courtney Cox and David Arquette had a guest at their Malibu beach house a few days ago. It was Jennifer Aniston. For those who don't know Jennifer and Courtney are best friends.

The Paparazzi usually check the Arquette's home as they drive into Malibu. And, on this day Jennifer's Range Rover was parked in front of the Arquette's home. To the photographers this is a major event. One Paparazzi group called in a couple of their guys and Paparazzi vehicles started arriving from all over Los Angeles.

There were a few photographers staked out in front of the Arquettes home. A second group of photographers made their way to the beach to check if the Arquette's were on their deck or if they were walking the beach with Jennifer. The Paparazzi's found the three on the Arquette's deck taking in the sunshine and chatting away. So, one brazen Paparazzi pulls out his camera and starts taking photos of the trio on the deck of the home.

David Arquette spots the photographer and goes ballistic. David screams and curses at the brazen photographers. He screams to the photographers that they want privacy and to leave the trio alone. The photographers usually don't like scraming celebrities and made a hasty retreat.

The local police were called. A Police helicopter started flying over the beach to see if any of the culprits were still around. But, the photographers left before the helicopter got there. In front of the Arquette house was a different story. There were about 8 Paparazzi vehicles on the street surrounding the Range Rover waiting to see Jennifer leave so they could follow her home or to wherever she would go. A little later a police vehicle arrived and questioned the photographers as to why they were all there.

The Paparazzi problem in Malibu is getting pretty bad. The Paparazzi are very brazen and drive around in groups. Most are either German, French or British. The locals are complaining and the police and City Hall don't seem to know how to contain them. So, the police issue tickets for small infractions. Tickets are issued to the Paparazzi for broken tail lights, no front license plates, too dark window tinting on their vehicles, parking where the Paparazzi shouldn't be.

And, that is exactly what happened in front of the Arquette's home. Tickets were issued and photographers were chased off. A very typical day in Malibu.

Bruce Springsteen is in Town!

Bruce Springsteen is in LA on his concert tour. Springsteen and a pretty girl were spotted at the Fred Segal store on Melrose Ave. He spent an hour shopping and then had lunch at the cafe in the trendy Melrose Ave Store. The Paparazzi were "thick as thieves" in the parking lot waiting for Springsteen to exit the store and go to his car. All told there were about 10 carloads of Pap's waiting in the parking lot. Everyone was hiding in the cars waiting for Springsteen to come out.

Bruce spotted one pair of photographers and came up and kidded them that they were not too good at hiding. The good natured singer stood in front of their car and posed asking " Is this what you want?" The two photographers sheepishly took a few photos and hurriedly drove off.

Reese Witherspoon Photographs The Paparazzi

Reese Witherspoon had problems with the Paparazzi a few weeks back. She works out in a gym in Santa Monica. The photographers know that on any given day they can find a celebrity or two at this gym. So it is checked out regularly by the Paparazzi. It was bad luck for Reese that on this day for some reason there were quite a few photographers floating around the area. Well when she was spotted by 7 or 8 Pap's they wanted photographs. So, they set upon photographing her outside the gym and going to her car. It seemed that the group was so many that gym personal had to help Reese cut through the gauntlet of photographers. But, the photo opportunity wasn't over with yet. A chase started with a pissed off Reese running from the pack. They followed her to her home and wouldn't let her in to her driveway. Police were called and photographers were detained and questioned.

Now, Reese is back for revenge. Wherever she goes she carries a small video camera to get the Paparazzi on video. The gossip is she is getting quite a lot of footage on some of LA's Paparazzi.

How the Paparazzi Work

In LA a number of the photographers drive around in groups. They either work for an agency or have alliances with each other and trade information. In LA you cannot work by yourself and get good photos. The reason being that it is a large city to cover and it is easier to have a photographer sitting at one place like Brad Pitt's house. Another photographer will be at another house or shopping area close by. They stay in contact usually with Nextel radios. When either of the photographers see a celebrity they will call the other in and both will try to take photos. This way since they are each taking photos usually from different spots, they get more varied photographs. Also, since the LA Paparazzi scene has too many photographers some of the gangs tend to try to make the photographs "Exclusive". So, they try to block out the competition. The Paparazzi business is a tuff buisiness to be in.

The Chase is on!

The hot couple of the moment is Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. They were in Europe and arrived back in LA two days ago. Needless to say the Paparazzi want photos.

You should know that since LA is the capital of the movie business, most celebrities live here. And, of course LA is the city with the most Paparazzi's in the US. Photographers come to LA from all parts of the world to work the Paparazzi beat.

Now it is rumoured that there are anywhere from 150 - 200 working Paparazzi photographers in LA. But, the figure could be more. Many of the photographers come from England, France and Germany. Working the celebrity beat in these countries is a lot harder for the Paparazzi's. So, they all come here. The US welcome's them with open arms. And, the European Paparazzi come for the "easy pickings". Many of these photographers cause too much trouble.

This afternoon, Katie Holmes went shopping at the upscale department store, Barneys New York in Beverly Hills. She left Tom Cruise's home in Beverly Hills and made the short trip with a few dozen Paparazzi cars chasing behind. Most of the Pap's seemed happy because many photos were taken. Though, Katie was not too happy.

Meanwhile, while Katie was shopping, Tom Cruise was out on his motorcycle riding around Beverly Hills. A few Pap's tried to chase his motorcycle, but could not keep up.

Just another boring day in LA.
