French Paparazzi Photographer is being deported by the US

Mark Rylewski a French Citizen, Paparazzi and an illegal US resident has been picked up and detained, while he waits to be returned to France. Mr. Rylewski has freelanced for a few of the Paparazzi agencies in Los Angeles. He was also selling his photos under his website name: ins7ght.com.

It is unclear why Mr. Rylewski was picked up by the authorities. A Paparazzo who knew Mark claimed that he pissed off the wrong celebrity by trying to sue them.

The running joke among some of the Paparazzi is that if most of the illegal foreign Paparazzi were deported there would be very few photographers left in Los Angeles.

There are so many illegal French, British, German and South American Paparazzi in Los Angeles, that if the Hollywood community really wanted to stop being hounded by the Paparazzi they would just have these people deported.

The Los Angeles DA who viewed videotapes and photographs did not find any evidance of her charges.

LA Needs to Wake Up About The Paparazzi vs. Celebrity Problem

No one in this town seems to realize that the Paparazzi vs. Celebrity and the Paparazzi vs. Paparazzi problem is escalating. In the past few months there have been numerous incidents between the Paparazzi and the Celebrities. Many have been reported in the news many have not. And, both the Paparazzi and the Celebrities are at fault.

In the last few months there have been more problems with some of the top celebrities and their Paparazzi hunters then in the last 5 years. Here are some of the more publicized:

-Reese Witherspoon was blocked from entering her residence by Paparazzi vehicles.
-JLo had been chased and she claimed almost had an accident because of the Paparazzi.
-Cameron Diaz had a run in with a few photographers and physically attacked them and stole one of their cameras.
-Britney Spears mother ran over a photographer’s foot.
-Hugh Grant hit a photographer with his vehicle as he tried to escape from having his picture taken by the Ivy restaurant.
-Drew Barrymore tried to smash a photographer’s vehicle window with karate kicks to get at him and his cameras.
-Lindsey Lohan’s Mercedes was hit while she was being chased by the Paparazzi and she received a few bruises.
-Singer Seal screamed and threatened a Paparazzi photographer for getting too close.
And, now a Paparazzi photographer was shot in the leg covering Britney Spears baby shower.

Even the photographers are fighting among themselves more now. There are stories about the photographers getting angry if they are following a celebrity and they are not the lead Paparazzi vehicle. They will cut each other off, run lights and do just about anything they must to stay close behind the celebrity. Some of the Paparazzi complain that their fellow photographers will go so far as to threaten them with harm if they happen to “jump” a story their competition is working on.

And, nowadays everyone thinks that the competition is “jumping” their story. Single photographers are threatened and demeaned as soon as they try to take photographs the rival agency photographers are on. A photographer need’s to join some of these agencies for protection so that they can take pictures without being harassed by the agency Paparazzi photographers.

The problem is getting out of control. And, no one seems to care. Both sides complain, but no one is willing to do anything about it. Photographers used to say that if things don’t calm down someone is going to get hurt. Celebrities have also claimed they are afraid some one will get hurt. Well, both sides were right. At, Britney Spears house this Saturday evening the first shot rang out and someone got hurt by a Pellet Gun. So, it wasn’t a 38, a 45 or a 9mm it still was a gun. This is getting dangerous.

Everyone in Hollywood should wake up from their idiotic stupor, and acknowledge that something is wrong and needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Malibu Sheriff Dept.Change Their Tune About Paparazzi Shooting

A Malibu Sheriff spokesman initially claimed that the photographer shot covering a Britney Spears party received only a scratch and needed the smallest band-aid that the fire dept had. Brad Diaz, the photographer who was shot with a pellet gun is in a little worse shape then initially claimed. It seems that the hospital was afraid they could do more damage by removing the pellet from his leg. The Emergency room doctor’s decided that the safest course would be to leave the pellet in his leg.

The Sheriff further said that they do not investigate such small insignificant incidents as someone being shot with a pellet gun. In other words it was a non-crime. I bet that if a celebrity was mysteriously shot by a pellet gun and there were a number of Paparazzi around, the photographer’s would have each been questioned quite thoroughly. In the expensive community of Malibu where the celebrity “rules” justice and protection is very one sided.

Well, 2 days after the incident when the trail is gone a little cooler, the Malibu Sheriff spokesman issued a statement that because all the media inquiries and concerns on the Brad Diaz shooting that they will assign an officer to investigate.

The Malibu Sheriff Dept. has a callous attitude toward the Paparazzi. But, like them or not, the Paparazzi are still citizens of Los Angeles and still deserve protection like any other citizen and celebrity, So, hopefully the Sheriff dept will in fact really investigate and find the insane person who did this stupid thing.

An interesting side note, as of Monday, because of all the press inquiries and interest from around the world the Malibu Sheriff dept was not commenting on the shooting.
